Clutch problem in 97 eclipse?

I drive a 97 eclipse Spyder. today I was driving it like normal and all of the sudden the clutch got extremely soft and it became difficult to shift. I took it back home and checked my fluid level.. it was at halfway. I pumped the clutch 3-4 times and it became stiff and just like magic it shifted into gear after i got it into gear the clutch became soft again and I had to keep pumping it to get it into each gear. I popped the hood and the fluid level was lower. my question is this.. I ordered a new master and slave cylinder but do you think that all i need to do is just bleed the lines and maybe that will cure the problem? It certainly seems that theirs a leak somewhere in the slave cylinders seals or maybe this is just because their are air pockets in the lines?
