Question about appendicitis?

I am supposed to see a surgeon on Monday for an urgent but not accute appendicitis. It was found on a CT scan after a week of nausea and really not much pain to speak of. For now the nausea and pain are gone. Sometimes I get a twinge of pain in my right side and slight nausea but they quickly p. I would like to get through this weekend without any trips to the ER. What foods/activities should I avoid? What foods should I not avoid? We have a carnival in our town this weekend and we were looking forward to taking our daughter there. Thanks.
