How do i get female eevee in pokemon platinum?

ok so i tried this little trick where i put a male eevee or one of its evolutions and a female eevee or the -eons in the day care. its a 50/50 chance of female eevee, easier than putting one in with a ditto when its a 1 out of 7 chance... but it takes freakin forever to hatch the eggs so i gave up and looked all around the sinnoh region looking for someone to give me a female eevee or find one in the wild. anyone got any easier ways to get a female eevee? but i dont have the national 'dex yet...
