Unsigned/up and coming artists?

Does anyone know of any good (by which I mean talented) up and coming or unsigned musicians? I'm loving the acoustic rock genre at the moment (think Secondhand Serenade) and I really want to find out about some little known artists. But I'll settle for almost any genre, except rap/hip-hop/dance.
