This song is driving me crazy!?

theres this song thats in guitar hero (i think) and the start is a guitar with a repetitive riff, then a guy starts singing but he only sings one or two words (then some guitar) and then the chorus is repetitive and the words have about 4 sylables. it kinda sounds like 'the things you say' but then again im not sure. sorry this is vague but does anyone know what this song is? its driving me crazy!
