It seems to fit in too nicely that Vince Cable, who oppossed the takeover of BskyB by Murdoch, should happen to put his foot in it, has now been relieved of anything to do with the media, and that it is now in the hands of a man called Hunt who, by the way he has spoken in the past, has already made his mind up to back Murdochs takeover. So people rightly ask, did Vince make the gaff on purpose, or (more likely) was he set up by the right wing press, or the Tories and did Cameron have anything to do with it. It's pretty obvious to all and sundry that Cameron made a deal with Murdoch for his support in the election campaign and it was going to be very difficult for him to uphold his end of the bargain with Cable in charge, but like magic, that hurdle has now been removed. As I say, I'm no conspiracy theory nutter, but I do think that people shouldn't be so quick to accept everything their government and politicians tell them, or so naive to believe that they wouldn't put money, power or their political ideology before their own countries citizens.

I am supposed to see a surgeon on Monday for an urgent but not accute appendicitis. It was found on a CT scan after a week of nausea and really not much pain to speak of. Do 1800 calories per day sound too much for weight loss?

1200 calories sounds a bit light to me, im 6' 200lb man so we have different nutritional needs but it takes 3500 calories a day to maintain my body weight. I would imagine with proper exercise and diet that 2000 calories would be close to what you need. And just my 2 cents, women's bodies change a lot from their early teens to their twenties so unless you have an excess of weight i wouldn't worry about losing to much.

I've been feeding and giving water to a stray cat since it was a kitten, I was never allowed to take her in. She got pregnant and my mom allowed me to take her in since she looked like she was going to burst. Clutch problem in 97 eclipse?

I drive a 97 eclipse Spyder. today I was driving it like normal and all of the sudden the clutch got extremely soft and it became difficult to shift. I took it back home and checked my fluid level.. it was at halfway. I pumped the clutch 3-4 times and it became stiff and just like magic it shifted into gear after i got it into gear the clutch became soft again and I had to keep pumping it to get it into each gear. I popped the hood and the fluid level was lower. my question is this.. I ordered a new master and slave cylinder but do you think that all i need to do is just bleed the lines and maybe that will cure the problem? It certainly seems that theirs a leak somewhere in the slave cylinders seals or maybe this is just because their are air pockets in the lines?

Well last week my son got way too big for his binet. So I brought the pack and play crib in our room.....I want him in our room until he is at least 6-7 months. then I will transition him into his crib.....at first he didn't like the pack and play because it was so much bigger than the binet, although he took to it okay. I think maybe im having possible seizures?

I am 17 years old and am wondering if maybe im having seizures in my sleep, and not being totally aware of it. Lately, I have been having blurred vision, sometimes even mild double vision, and i am constantly tired. I went to my doctor a few months ago and was diagnosed with mono, so i didnt think anything of being tired. recently i had strep throat and a fever and i blacked out and fell in the bathroom floor. i still wasnt concerned about that, neither was my doc, until i wound up i the emergency room one night, due to "possible seizure". i came home from school, and was tired so i was going to lay down on the bed for just a few minutes. last thing i remember is thinking "ok i gotta get up and get my notebook done" and next thing i know, my mom is waking me up 2 hours later telling me im in the floor. i woke up extremely confused, not able to think, not remembering anything about that day, my nose had dry blood in it, i had carpet burns on the right side of my face, and i was very nauseous. my mom called the doc and they said to take me to the e.r. so she did. i threw up in the car on the way there. they did a CT scan and bloodwork and EKG at the hospital, everything showing up normal. they ordered me to a neurologist for further testing. he did a EEG, and i am still waiting on the results.i guess i am just not a very patient person and i want to know why that happened, and why i've been feeling weird lately. the same thing happened at my friends house about a month ago. i went to sleep in my friend's bed and woke up on her couch in the living room. she said wen she tried to wake me up i was in the floor and she shook me and i would not wake up(i am usually a very light sleeper) and she also said i went to the bathroom, back into her room, then into the living room. i woke up on the couch and asked how i got there. oh and i lost control of my bladder too...kind of really embaring but i figure i should include everything:). but yea i am just wanting to hear opinions of other people.thanks for any comments left.i really appreciate it.

First of all let me tell you, you're a great girl for trying to help him out with his daughter. I am step mother myself and I have a daughter from an ex. so I know both sides. Let me tell you the drama will NEVER end so be ready for that. Next, he needs to go to court an file for visitation papers and ask for a fee waiver. Depending on your income you might not have to pay or you may qualify for reduced fees. if he initiates court visitations request, the judge will definitely see him as a good dad. Even if he gets a weekend a month for now, in a year go to court again, they will only give him more visitation so long as he's being responsible. Take notes of everything and make the visitation agreement as detailed as possible, time when where who and so on. Or else she will have the power to make those decision at her convenience. We had the same problem , converted the downstairs lounge area into a bedroom *** sitting room. We added a portable shower, not sure if you have room for this in the laundry as you say bathroom to small as most laundry's have room if you move out the junk. Put everything not useful upstairs as it was no longer required. Last night through wednesday Watson is going up against Ken Jennings, who won 75 jeopardy games a few years ago, and other top players on jeopardy. Watson is wired to 15 some trillion bytes of memory and like 10 750 powered servers; however, Watson actually got some answers wrong, or wasn't quick enough to buzz in before the other players. I don't know exactly how algorithims work, I think it's like a code or somehting, but can a computer not answer certain phrases or idioms? Is Watson rigged to allow the other contestants to answer questions because I noticed last night that Watson tied with another contestant both with $5000 and Ken Jennings lost with $2000. How does this compare to the computer game of jeopardy on a regular disc, because when I play Jeopordy at home or when my dad plays it, and we don't buzz in and the computer buzzes in, sometimes the computer contestants will get it wrong on the CD Rom game, and I think that is rigged or there is some kind of pattern on the CD Rom disc game? I don't know if Watson is actually rigged, or if I'm using the right words, but why did Watson get certain questions wrong during the show, and other times the contestants were able to buzz in before Watson? One time, Watson said the same answer as Ken Jennings did, and they both were wrong. I'm thinking Watson is like a speech recognition program or text to speech recognition program on a computer because when ever you talk into a speech recognition program to give it a command on the computer it will not always interpret what you say correctly. I'm far from being a programmer, I have decent knowledge about computers, I don't really know how to use programming language at all, so any info on how Watson works on Jeopardy will be helpful. The high school that im graduating from in a few weeks sends just about all its kids to major 4 year universities. Me myself im going to West Point and then to the Army. IT seems to me that it is ok in the current US society to discriminate against whites blatantly and openly. The Supreme Court even upheld a Michigan university's decision to ban a girl from attanding there even though she met the guildlines, because she was white. Why can't I see my BIOS screen?

I have an Acer 24 inch monitor that i bought off newegg and i used to have it connected to my video card through an HDMI cable. The monitor was on standby mode for about 30 seconds before i could see anything on the screen so i had the same problem you are having. I stopped using HDMI and started to use DVI since they are the same thing pretty much. What im getting at is try whatever mode your monitor is connected to your pc , try switching to another connection to see if the response time changes in any way.

Also think of having them wear gloves because no one wants a broken wrist. Make some type of rule that you have to fight a certain amount of times per month and people are allowed to challenge others. I live with my Dads ex-girlfriend. I pay her rent and buy my own necessities. My mom is my custodial parent so I am suppose to live with her. My dad tried to get custody of me but do to certain cirstances that had occurred prior to the hearing he was considered unfit to take care of me. My mom also was told she was not fit to take care of me and the Magistrate that was hearing the case said that if they agreed to let me leave with my dads ex then they could drop the case or I would be placed in foster care. My mom still has custody and has told me that I have to come back and stay with her. There have been times when she has gone so far as to bring the police to Peggy's (My dads ex) house and get me then left me at Peggy's brothers house, who she had never met and did'nt even know weather he was home, which is a half an hour drive from Peggy's and an hour and a half drive to my dads. She wants me to move back in with her now because I am on her lease for her apartment which is how she got financial help to get the apartment and they are starting to suspect that I dont live there. Also she recieves food stamps and medical for me that she sells for her personal use. I am already taking care of myself but still have to worry that she will make me leave and cause me to lose my job and to fail school, which I am behind in from where I was with my dad and have only recently started to catch up in thanks to Peggy. I would like to know if it is possible for me to be emancipated in order to live with out these concerns.

Some cats shed more than others. My Torti (RIP) shed a lot more than my garden variety short hair. My Torti somewhere in her gene pool had some Burmese in her (quite a few of Burmese traits were obvious in her stature and that very fine undercoat.) Daily brushing will help along with vacuuming more often will help. Also, I notice that the diet is mainly fish, not a good diet. High protein such as chicken and turkey are far better for cats. A good quality canned food with meat being the first ingredient is a better choice. To much fish is not good for casts. I hope this is of some help to you and one more thought, I find the Pledge Fabric Sweeper is a wonderful tool in getting fur off of furniture and ds and other fabric items.

Torn ACL/Meniscus -- Do I really need surgery?

I have injured my right knee 2 weeks ago. When I got my MRI done, they told me I had a torn ACL and meniscus. Since then I've been in a leg brace and sitting around at home. I have been trying to get paperwork processed through my hospital for surgery. However, I'm wondering, do I really need surgery or will it be possible (with a little physical therapy), will I be able to walk soon? How long does it usually take to feel up to par to walking and such? The paperwork is taking a long while and they say that it might take up to a month for it to go through... I think that's a bit too long and I'm getting cabin fever just sitting around at home. Sigh.

I am bothered with the way my head teacher treated our student with hyper-functional autism, What should I do?

I graduated with a degree in Psychology, and presently working as Teacher Aide for a very sweet 5-year-old-kindergarten boy with hyper-functional autism (combined with a regular cl). Based from my evaluation, (though I only started my job three weeks ago), he goes beyond the spectrum, he is almost normal, in social interaction and in so many ways... except that he manifest signs of echolalia and follow FEW patterns with his activity. The problem arised when I started to notice the attitude of my head teacher towards this kid, he seemed to be so mean and apply negative approach which is harsh for the development of the child,e.g. he shout, yell and coax on situations which are highly tolerable in cl. Like when the student start to twitch his body and slouch on his seat but his focus is still on the lesson, he would pull him on his armpit and drag him on a corner for timeout. Worse! he would hold him on both shoulders and with a voice that could raise the dead from its tomb.. scold

Betta flares at reflection in new tank...?

I just transferred my new betta to a 5 gallon tank complete with hiding places, filter, and heater. He loves the extra space, but when I turn on the light (very bright fluorescent bulb) he swims around and around the tank flaring at his reflection. He only stops when I turn off the light. I know excessive flaring can cause stress which can weaken his immune system and shorten his life. Would it help if I got a dimmer bulb? I was thinking of getting a background and more plants to hide the back and side walls as well...
